Diagnose and fix the problem

  1. Separate the two wireless linksAn extender can connect to the router while a client fails, or accept a client while the router backhaul is down.
  2. Check addressing before DNSA client without a local IP or gateway has a DHCP/link problem; changing DNS will not repair it.
  3. Test the router directlyConfirm the original router connection works before resetting or updating the extender.
  4. Use LEDs as placement evidenceWeak router-link indicators call for relocation, while weak device-link indicators call for moving the client.
  5. Reset lastFactory reset only after recording the current router SSID/security and ruling out placement, credentials and local-client problems.
