WPS Light Is Green but the Extender Has No Internet

A successful button exchange does not always prove usable router credentials or internet backhaul.

Diagnose and fix the problem

  1. Test the main routerJoin the original router WiFi and confirm internet service before changing the extender.
  2. Check both bandsA green WPS indication can describe one completed band while the client joins another unconfigured band.
  3. Forget and rejoin the extended SSIDUse the current router WiFi password unless the setup explicitly created another password.
  4. Inspect router-link statusA client-side connection can be green while the router backhaul is weak or unavailable.
  5. Use browser setup for visibilityIf WPS remains ambiguous, reset once and use the assistant to select the intended SSIDs explicitly.
