Diagnose and fix the problem

  1. Connect to the correct local networkMywifiext addresses normally respond only when the client is on the extender-side network.
  2. Use the address barEnter the local address directly; a search result can lead to an unrelated public website.
  3. Prefer the assigned IP after setupOnce joined to the router, an extender can receive a different DHCP address. Find it in the router client list.
  4. Remove client-side blockersPrivate browsing can bypass cached redirects; VPN, proxy, forced HTTPS and cellular data can break local routing.
  5. Distinguish passwordsThe extender administrator login and the extended WiFi password are separate credentials.
Before a factory reset: Use the linked model guide before resetting or updating a specific extender.
