Diagnose and fix the problem

  1. Start with the hardwareIdentify the exact model, check for an Extender/AP switch, place it in the router room and wait for stable power.
  2. Choose WPS when both devices support itUse push-button pairing for a fast start, but remember that dual-band products may require a second cycle.
  3. Choose browser setup for controlJoin the default extender SSID, turn off mobile data/VPN and open the documented local address.
  4. Choose app setup only for supported modelsInstall the manufacturer app from the official store and give local-network permission when prompted.
  5. Use access point mode for wired backhaulSelect AP mode before connecting Ethernet from the router; a client Ethernet port is not automatically a backhaul port.
Before a factory reset: Use the linked model guide before resetting or updating a specific extender.
