6. How to Reset Netgear EXS27

A factory reset removes personalised settings. Keep the extender powered, locate the recessed Reset/Factory Reset control, and press it with a paper clip until the Power LED begins blinking. NETGEAR's general extender guidance notes this can take up to about 15 seconds. Release the button and wait for the extender to restart before setting it up again.

Reset warning: saved SSIDs, passwords and local administrator settings are erased.

7. Netgear EXS27 Firmware Update

The newest official NETGEAR EXS27 firmware article found during this build lists version 1.0.1.34. Use only EXS27 firmware and keep power connected until the update and restart finish.

Do not interrupt firmware installation. Keep the extender powered until the update and reboot are complete.

8. Netgear EXS27 Troubleshooting

WPS does not complete

Move the EXS27 closer to the router and retry. If WPS remains unsuccessful, use the Nighthawk app.

Actual throughput depends on the router, client radio, walls, interference and network traffic.
