Browser Forces HTTPS and Mywifiext Will Not Open
Fix cached redirects and HTTPS-only behaviour when accessing a local extender interface.
Diagnose and fix the problem
- Use a private windowThis avoids some cached redirects and site data without deleting the entire browser history.
- Enter the documented local formSome older local interfaces respond over HTTP and do not have a publicly trusted certificate.
- Try the assigned IPThe extender's current local IP avoids hostname-resolution and cached-domain confusion.
- Pause HTTPS-only mode for the local testChange only the browser setting needed for this trusted local device, then restore it afterward.
- Do not bypass unexpected public warningsConfirm the address is private/local and that you are connected to your own extender before proceeding.
Before a factory reset: If these checks do not match your model, stop before resetting and use its exact manual or model guide.
